Students in Mrs. Morris' 6th grade English class prepared for this week's mid-term tests with a Jenga review game, covering topics such as plot, main idea, and characterization.

Students in Mr. Rinke's 6th grade science class have spent the week creating musical instruments from objects found at home. They had to plan and create a prototype, and then demonstrate that instrument, that would play at different volumes, with different tones or notes.

Mid-Term test information below. Please make note that students cannot be checked out of school during an exam session, so please plan any necessary appointments accordingly.

Students in Mrs. Dillard's fifth hour class explore teamwork, problem solving, and engineering skills by working on lego projects, spanning imaginary rivers with stipulations such as; 10 feet long, 15 feet long, use all 50 legos, etc.

In 1987, President Ronald Reagan declared the first week of October as National Yearbook Week to celebrate the work that yearbook staffs do to preserve the memories and stories of those in their school. Staff takes part in the high school Homecoming Week's theme days .... today is Minion (Purple v Yellow) Day. Bello, Homecoming!

Our high school volleyball team is hosting Regionals this Thursday and will play (at home) at 1pm. Students are allowed to attend the game, but the following things must happen:
1. Parent/guardian must check students out in person.
2. Parent/guardian must attend game with student.
3. Student must check in with admin at game.
4. All persons must pay to attend ($10 per person; no passes)
5. Student is responsible for all missed work.

The Young Eagles flights offer free opportunities for students ages 8-17 around Oklahoma at least once per month in our area. Middle school students are encouraged to participate in your aviation programs.

LEAP Students -- there will be a LEAP field trip to the Thunder Blue game at the Paycom Center, sponsored by the Science Museum of Oklahoma, on Wednesday, 2/26/25. Money and sign up form are due by Thursday, 10/10/24. Sign up forms are available in the middle school office.

Next week is high school "Bello" Homecoming, and we're celebrating district-wide with dress up days! Also, there will be a homecoming parade at the end of the day Friday (approx 2pm) for everyone who would like to line the streets and watch!
